Automation could free chemists from tedious lab work – if they’re ready to think differently about research
Automation in the chemistry lab is ready to take some of the repetitive and tedious labour out of the science. This won’t mean fewer chemists just that they will be freed up to be more creative and make use of the new technology to explore new chemistry faster. However, not all chemists may have the computer skills for the coming changes that some are predicting where experiments are run remotely in ‘synthesiser farms’
